Our trusted BTR5 now has support for MQA decoding. MQA, Master Quality Authenticated has become a new standard for high-resolution audio. FiiO has included MQA decoding support with the BTR5 2021, Users will be able to enjoy high-resolution MQA files to their full potential. Please note, MQA will be supported via USB connections.
The FiiO BTR5 employs two High-Performance ESS ES9218PRO DAC Chips in a dual fully balanced design to provide high-resolution sound with the best dynamics and sound quality. The Dual DAC's work together to give out a power output of 220mW at 32ohms load and 7.6Vpp at 300 ohms.
The BTR5 features both balanced and single-ended outputs. In its truly balanced audio architecture, each channel is driven separately from the other with its own DAC and amplifier, enabling the BTR5 of producing a pure sound with unmatched accuracy and transparency.
*In order to ensure the BTR5 operates normally when both 3.5mm and 2.5mm outputs are used, only the 3.5mm port will output sound.
The BTR5 uses the premium flagship Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth chip.
A low-power solution designed for enhanced audio applications with support for 24-bit transmission and processing, thanks to its 120MHz DSP achieving low distortion and high signal-to-noise ratio.
The FiiO BTR5 supports all the latest Bluetooth codecs including SBC, AAC, aptX, APT HD, aptX LL, and LDAC.
The BTR5 also supports aptX LL(low-latency encoding), with less than 40ms of delay.
The FiiO BTR 5 features a battery of 550mAh, which provides continuous music playback of up to 9 hours, and even if that is not enough, the BTR 5 just needs 1.5 hours of charging time to fully charge.
The BTR5 employs the FPGA chips which are responsible not only for transmitting and receiving all Bluetooth and digital audio signals but also for highly precise clock management, leading to greatly reduced jitter and greatly improved signal stability.
To perfectly reproduce the analog audio signals, the BTR5 utilizes a dedicated FPGA, the 45.1584/49.152MHz dual crystal oscillators, giving it extreme accuracy in reproducing full frequencies under any sample rate.
The FiiO BTR5 features a 0.49 inch OLED screen that displays the pairing mode, connection status, call status, power status, encoding format, and volume, which you can also use to view charging status, adjust or change EQ setting, enable car mode and more.
The FiiO BTR5 has two built-in high-sensitivity omnidirectional microphones with cVc 8.0 noise cancellation technology, which automatically adjusts the microphone's gain level and suppresses the background noise giving you crystal clear calls.
The BTR5 built-in NFC allows you to connect to other NFC compatible devices with a single tap of a button.
The BTR5 has a Solid premium feel to it. The body is built out of strong aluminum alloy. Beautifully finished with a curved glass on the front and back, along with a layer of an oleophobic coating for a silky smooth touch and to prevent fingerprint buildup, this small portable gem complements your sense of style.
With a single multi-function button, you can control the following: pairing/play/pause/accept call/hang up/cancel/force pair/open voice assistant. If you disconnect via Bluetooth from another device, simply press the multi-function button briefly to re-pair with the other device. When paired to a phone, simply double-click the multi-function button to wake up your voice assistant.
By downloading the FiiO Music app, you can remotely control the BTR5’s channel balance, switch between different DAC reconstruction filters, or adjust the equalizer, adjust odd and even-order harmonic distortion, allowing you to have your own personal music DJ and explore the facets of your music in ways you could never imagine.
*The Equalizer does not work for the LDAC codec.
The BTR5 comes with a clear case that provides 360° of all-around protection and a detachable back clip that allows you to wear it vertically or horizontally.
